Our client designs, develops and supplies mobile communications products for key market sectors. It has customers in Europe, Australasia, Asia, Southern America and the Middle East and a growing network of international distributors and partners cover all corners of the globe.

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to lead software architecture and design for our client's new systems and products. As a Software Architect you will create elegant, maintainable designs bringing them to fruition within software teams. In addition you will drive software architectural changes and improvements through to implementation and improve the software quality and productivity of the software teams across DSP, drivers, middleware and applications.

Key skills and experience:-
o Experience of architecting and developing significant software sub-systems, from inception to completion, for wireless communication products
o Comprehensive knowledge of embedded C programming in a wireless telecom environment with knowledge of current design methodologies
o Detailed knowledge and proven experience of the full lifecycle of software development
o 5 years or greater experience in some of the following areas with knowledge of the remainder:
- User-interface software environments & principles, middleware (WAP, TCPIP etc)
- Device frameworks, RTOS and drivers
- Protocol stack architecture, design and implementation
- DSP algorithms, control code and audio systems
- Windows and Linux desktop software development experience
o Classical and modern software development processes (Waterfall to Agile, Extreme etc).
o Experience of software testing and automated test environments
