Business Development Manager - ITS

Our client is an innovative company in the development of
intelligent transport system (ITS) specialising in applications that
function at the interface between technology and operations.
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to
identify new business opportunities within the transport sector for
our client. As a Business Development Manager you will use strategic
and conceptual selling techniques to develop strong commercial
relationships with senior executives in potential client companies
or their contractors. It is expected that you will already have
access to key clients and markets and will make a personal
contribution to achieving substantial new business in the transport
sector.
Key skills and experience:-
o Significant commercial and contractual experience in the
intelligent transport sector.
o Proven ability to personally close substantial value sales.
o Practitioner of strategic conceptual selling methodologies, e.g.
Miller Heiman.
o Proven success in developing substantial business contracts in
addition to having influential connections within key Transport
organisations.
o Experience of Integrated Traffic Systems (ITS) within the UK
and/or Europe.
o Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
o Experience of working for a technical consultancy company would be
advantageous.
o Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline e.g.
engineering, mathematics or physical sciences.
