Customer Support Engineer - digital video

Our client is a fast growing company which has developed a highly
successful range of products to support digital video systems in
markets including hospitality, broadcast and telecoms.
We are looking for an experienced Customer Support Engineer with a
mix of strong technical skills and a passion for delivering
excellent customer service. As a Customer Support Engineer you will
provide all levels of technical support to integration teams and
distributors, and work closely with the Sales Account Manager to
deliver against a strategic customer plan.
Key skills and experience:-
o Experience in a demanding customer-facing role.
o Understanding of principles of TV over IP using unicast and
multicast mechanisms.
o Solid experience of network infrastructure and technologies
including DHCP.
o Solid knowledge of the Linux Operating System for servers and
embedded systems.
o Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript, and application development.
o Knowledge of various MPEG/broadcast standards.
o Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
o Working knowledge of a second European language is desirable.
o Degree level education within electronic engineering / computer
science or a similar technical field.
