Systems Architect - wireless technology

Our client works with 4G/LTE infrastructure developers and network operators to assist them in developing new network features and carry out interoperability analysis, quality of service analysis and network performance optimisation as well as a range of network and product tests.

We are looking for an experienced Software Systems Architect to design and manage wireless communications products. As a Systems Architect you will take responsibility for all software aspects of the product design and management of a team of software engineers. You will support the development of a large product line with emphasis on wireless communication, software system definition and software implementation (C, C++ and object orientated C++). This is a high pressure role within a dynamic work environment.

Key skills and experience:-
o A degree in electronics engineering or a similar discipline, along with relevant work experience with an understanding of digital communication systems.
o Experienced in mobile communications systems, and ideally have real-time DSP, WCDMA (physical layer ad higher layer) Rel 6 or above expertise.
o Able to operate at a senior level with solid experience in object oriented design using C++ in a multithreaded environment.
o Experience of the development of software for Microsoft Windows platforms is required.
o Experience of GUI design using Qt would be a distinct advantage.
o Good understanding of Cellular/3G is necessary incorporating the following technologies: MIMO, OFDM, WCDMA, FEC and LTE.
o Candidates must be highly professional with the ability to communicate at all levels.
o Good organisational skills are essential and the candidate must be able to communicate clearly and unambiguously
o Technically be very strong, highly analytical, creative, good at prioritising, have a methodical approach to work and solving technical issues.
