Our client has built an impressive portfolio of instruments and flexible test and measurement solutions. They provide a wide range of test instrumentation with considerable expertise in RF and wireless equipment.

We are looking for experienced Electronic Design Engineers to work with our client's Engineering and Production teams developing modular and stand-alone RF instrumentation hardware. As a Design Engineer you will design and develop high speed digital control circuits to interface with RF signal generation and measurement hardware and software progressing designs through from initial concept through testing and debugging stages and support of the final product.

Key skills and experience:-
o Proven experience as a Digital Design Engineer in an appropriate environment.
o Previous experience of design for manufacture and interfacing with teams throughout the organisation to achieve the objectives for the product would be beneficial.
o Proficient in VHDL coding, simulation, implementation and debugging.
o Competent at analogue circuit design.
o Experience of Xilinx and Mentor FPGA design tools, alongside experience of PCB schematic design is desirable.
o Able to work effectively under pressure and deliver high quality designs to tight project timescales.
o Knowledge of signal generation and signal processing would be advantageous.
o Debugging skills using common digital test equipment are essential, alongside a scientific and timely approach to problem solving and good record keeping.
o A degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
