Our client designs, develops and supplies handheld and mobile terminals for key market sectors where customers require secure private mobile communications. It has customers in Europe, Australasia, Asia, Southern America and the Middle East and a growing network of international distributors and partners cover all corners of the globe.

We are looking for an Acoustic Engineer with experience of the design and use of acoustic devices in a mobile communications environment. As an Acoustic Engineer you will work will work across various projects, and will provide technical acoustic design consultation, Acoustics design evaluation and test and work with other engineers to provide acoustic solutions to support our clients products.

Key skills and experience :-
o Good Acoustic/comms/electronics degree or equivalent with 1 - 2 years industrial experience.
o Acoustic design experience across full design cycle into production.
o An appreciation of other engineering disciplines i.e. Mechanical, RF, Software and DSP engineering.
o Applicant should have experience in some of the following areas:-
o Acoustic transducer selection for mobile telecoms. Audio subsystem architectural design. Practical experience of audio signal processing techniques (echo cancellation, noise reduction etc.). Experienced in acoustic quality measurement techniques (PAMS testing). HATs experience. MatLab experience. Design for EMC compliance.
