Project Manager - wireless mobile applications

Our client develops standard applications for wireless devices in to-days market. Network operators, service providers and manufacturers all use our client's products to provide mobile services.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with excellent customer relationship skills, and a strong track record in customer project management in the delivery of mobile applications. As a Project Manager, you will liaise between sales, development and management in order to ascertain and plan priorities, and deliver high quality professional services based around our client's core products.

Key skills and experience :-
o Ideally prior experience in software development specifically in Java.
o Proven track record of delivering projects (ideally within the mobile industry with an ISV)
o Proven natural progression from software engineer to project management with at least 3 years development and 3 years project management
o Strong project planning and estimating skills with experience in delivering new products and projects
o MS Office & MS Project user skills (advantageous: Experience using Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server)
o Previous telecommunications experience, including, SMS, MMS, SMSC MMSC, JAVA, Windows Mobile, Symbian, UIQ, Palm, Solaris, Sun Application Server, JBoss, Sun JES
o Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
o Demonstrable experience in customer and supplier management
o Commercial understanding of VAS offerings within a mobile operator
o Qualified practitioner of project management methodologies (PRINCE 2 e.g.) and ability to demonstrate effective use of methodologies
