We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager with a background in sensor development in the defence and security industry. As a Programme Manager you will manage challenging and often complex product and system developments for clients in a range of market sectors, with a focus on the defence and security market. The position involves the management of projects through the complete development lifecycle, from requirements definition through to final delivery.

Key skills and experience:-
o A good degree in an engineering or science subject, plus substantial industrial experience working in radar and other sensor systems.
o A thorough understanding of radar sensors and their underlying principles.
o A proven track record in the management of large multi-disciplinary projects (mechanics, electronics, RF, analogue, software).
o A sound commercial understanding of the defence business, including experience in negotiating contract terms.
o Proven ability to lead the sales process, including technical and commercial proposal writing and converting prospects into sales.
o A self-starting individual who takes responsibility for the delivery of complete, high quality solutions.
o Experience in managing both the development team and the customer, working with customers in the UK and abroad.
o Experience in managing products through to manufacture.
o Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
