Our client is an independent electronics design consultancy specialising in product and systems design for communications, aerospace, defence and medical applications.

We are looking for an experienced RF Design Engineer to work on demanding and exciting projects in the RF sector. As an RF Design Engineer you will also have flexible skills in general electronics to adapt to the wide variety of projects undertaken by our client. Ideally you will have the capability or potential to lead projects, interface with clients and be able to grow with the business into new areas.

Key skills and experience :-
● Practical, hands-on experience of rf systems design in industry for 2 years or more.
● An understanding of modulation techniques, EVM, noise figure, intercept points and compression.
● Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the fundamentals of RF circuit design, including Smith charts, S Parameters design and basic analogue design techniques.
● Have working experience of RF CAD and able to understand the limitations.
● Have experience of schematic entry and high frequency PCB layout techniques.
● Able to prepare specifications and technical reports.
● Have an appreciation of production test requirements and design for manufacture.
● A commercially aware outlook.
● Good communication and team working skills together with a methodical approach, strong personal drive and motivation.
● A solid academic foundation with a 1st or 2.1 honours degree.
