Our client is a rapidly growing fabless semiconductor company providing semiconductors, software and reference designs in the area of high bandwidth wireless connectivity.

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead, plan, direct and control the activities of the team of test engineers, maximising their effectiveness. As a Test Manager you will be responsible for analysing, generating, estimating and delivering user cases and test plans within the constraints of time, cost and quality, to the customer's satisfaction, and managing performance against the plans.

Key skills and experience:-
· Technical and business experience in an Applications or Systems Test environment, including line management.
· A strong understanding of testing and automation technologies from both a technical and business perspective, specifically writing Test Plans, Test specifications and Test Reports.
· Experience of embedded software testing and of wireless networking devices / communications systems, such as Bluetooth and WiFi.
· Experience of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS 10.x.
· Experience of using scripting languages (Perl, Python, shell scripts…) for automating tests.
· Familiar with defect tracking systems and version control systems.
· Experience of system testing in real-time environments and of Use Case Analysis.
· Experience of leading and managing complex technical engagements with internal teams, third parties and external suppliers.
· Experience of selection and management of external suppliers and maintenance of an appropriate awareness of the supplier market and business developments.
· Relevant engineering degree.
