Our client provides wireless products based on IP technology enabling wireless network operators to deliver revenue-generating, broadband-quality services to mobile devices.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to develop tools and additional debug/trace functionality for our client's ground-breaking products. The role is entirely hands-on design, code and test in C/C++ working in a team of around 10 other software engineers.

Key skills and experience:-
· Significant experience of working in a team to deliver software to demanding timescales.
· 3+ years experience of embedded C and C++ in areas such as enhancements to the command line interface, efficient real-time logging over IP, parsing of trace files (application and tcpdump/Wireshark) to improve readability and diagnostics.
· Development of multi-threaded, real-time software in C and C++.
· Development of applications that communicate using TCP/UDP/IP.
· Able to take responsibility for an entire feature from requirements capture to delivery in an environment that is relatively low on formal process.
· Able to work at all stages of the development cycle from requirements analysis through architecture/design, code/test, interacting with QA and on-going support.
· Self-starting and self-motivated personable team player.
· Desirable: - C++ Boost and STL, developing in an environment using one or more of: Linux, GNU toolchain, Eclipse CDT and SVN, developing for a target running uClinux (or other flavour of embedded Linux) on a Blackfin processor.
