Our client is at the leading edge of the communications revolution with the move to datacentric communications and the increasing focus on IP delivery. Their capability includes leading edge technology consultancy in all wireless areas including UMTS, GSM (PTT), wireless LANs and 3G handset development.

We are looking for an experienced Consultant to operate on assignments in the technology area associated with road-user charging and transport infrastructure. As a Consultant you will advise clients in the transport sector on the use of technologies such as GPS, GPRS, DSRC, smart cards and others. The successful candidate will work across a number of our client's business areas and will need to fit in as a member of a small but powerful team.

Key skills and experience :-
· Track record in road user charging/congestion charging/vehicle location/transport telematics or closely related area, preferably working with public sector or major vendor
· Ideally, track record of publication in this area
· Technical background, either in embedded technologies or IT
· Good degree (minimum 2:1), preferably in a related discipline
· Self motivated and target driven
· Excellent communication skills, free thinking and the ability to fight one's corner
· Strong team-worker - effective relationship builder
· Strong selling and influencing ability
· Technical insight - an understanding of current mobile technology areas.
· Project/people management track record in a high-tech complex environment
